A new style?

Posted by Shukumei-the-Fox - January 13th, 2010

It seems that the style of my artwork is changing, but is that good or bad?

Comments

people change their styles when they're trying to find a comfortable method. If you see my gallery (deviantart) , yes it does change over time (probably 7 years in the making of course)

Nothing wrong with change, as long you find a consistent style for yourself.

do YOU think it's bad?
Changing styles is good.

Hm, that, and I just can't seem to find that creative spark these days. Ah, well.

i alway see people change there style of work but realy i dont mind as long as the work is good

True, but I do wonder how good my work is, sometimes.

I think it's good... agood artist must have many stles under his/hers belt...

I, as your colorist, can say 100% that your style is not getting worse! In fact it seems to get more unique and better with the time! :3

Hm, Flattery will get you nowhere. :3
That being said, I'm glad you enjoy my work. It's good that I wrangled myself such a good colorist, too. Yeah, that's right. I "wrangled" you. Like a fucking stallion.

Well, I wasn't trying to practise flattery :3 It's my honest opinion. Besides, like I already told you a long time ago, I always say what I think directly and honestly, no matter how harsh it may be. This one was no exception ^^

uh, well... I'll try to unsee that part with the stallion... sounds a bit... weird...
