Ah, I'm so tired. I stayed up most of the night drawing. It was for a good cause, though. I'm designing the characters for an upcoming Starfox collab, as well as the intro, and possibly the preloader, if they like it.

I'm done with the Art Portal. I'm getting quite sick of putting my work up, not recieving hardly any recognition, and the being unscouted about 2 hours later. So, fuck the Art Portal, one of the dumbest ways to showcase art that I have ever seen, and fuck those bastardized, biased portal mods.
Note that this isn't a slur against NG in general. I'm just pissed, and trying to vent. X3

Well, my scanner isn't working. Regardless, I'll fix it and have more art up soon. I'm getting better, so the new stuff should make a better impression.

I recently got a PM from an Art Portal mod saying that he was going to take down my work from the Art Portal because he didn't want the Portal cluttered with Sketches.
Are you fucking kidding me?! I hit the button that says "This is not a sketch, please show it in the Art Portal" FOR A REASON. This is how I draw. Who gives a damn if my work is a bit sketchy? I never learned how to make my pieces any other way. And frankly, I LIKE HOW IT LOOKS!!!!! If it was a sketch, it wouldn't even go on my page, let alone the art portal. Ok, maybe he was right about some things. I do need to work on my shading, anatomy, and whatnot. But regardless what he ment when he said what he did, he was still esentially telling me that I'm not good enough to show Newgrounds my hard work, that my art that I worked hard on wasn't "pretty enough" for the Art Portal. He may have meant well, but to me, this was a harsh insult. I'm not the best artist on NG, not by a mile, but I work hard on my art, and no one has the right to tell me that I'm not good enough to show my work in the portal. If he, or any other mod, admin, or whatever wants to keep the portal looking nice, try doing your job and find people who really don't care what they put up. I do care what I put up. I have lots of ACTUAL sketches that I could put up, but I won't, because what is put up will reflect on how people see me as an artist. If he can't get rid of a bais like that, and accept that not everyone is the next Da Vinci, that people all have different skill levels, and that evolving artists need helpful words, not harsh dissapointment, then he is not fit to be a moderator of the Art Portal.
